Field Announced for the 2016 CCC Volleyball Championship

LA GRANDE, Ore. – As the final regular season matches come to a close, the field has been set for the 2016 Cascade Collegiate Conference Volleyball Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
 
Eastern Oregon claimed the regular season title with a conference mark of 19-1, going 26-2 overall. As the number one seed in the tournament, Eastern earns a first round bye and host site for the tournament semifinal and final matches. The Mountaineers also receive the CCC’s first automatic qualifier to the NAIA National Tournament.
 
Finishing in their highest spot since the 1998 season was Corban as the second-seed, ending the regular season at 20-5 overall, going 17-3 in the CCC. The Warriors also earn a first round bye in the postseason tournament.
 
Coming in third in the regular season standings is Northwest University who ended with season with a road win at Multnomah to finish with an overall record of 18-7, and 15-5 in CCC action.
 
The Eagles will host sixth-seed Warner Pacific in the first round of the tournament after the Knights clinched a spot with a win over Evergreen, ending the regular season at 11-12, 9-11 CCC.
 
Also hosting in the first round of the tournament is College of Idaho as the fourth seed, closing out the regular season at 14-6 in the conference, 19-9 overall. They will play fifth-seed Southern Oregon (14-12, 11-9 CCC) for a spot in the CCC semifinals.
 
The winner of the CCC postseason championship will claim the conference’s second automatic qualifier to Nationals, which is scheduled to begin Nov. 19. If Eastern wins the tournament, the second qualifier will go to the tournament runner up.

Winners of semifinal matches- 3 p.m. PST
