PORTLAND, Ore. – Latrina Woods of Evergreen, a 5-8 junior guard from Skyway, Wash., has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in women’s basketball.
It is the first honor of the season for Woods.
In what were considered must-win situations, Woods helped lead the Geoducks to home victories over Northwest Christian and Corban. In a 57-55 victory over NCU, Woods had 21 points and three rebounds while hitting 9 of 14 shots from the floor. One night later, in a 72-63 win over Corban, Woods had 15 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals.
