KENTFIELD, CA - Just nine minutes into the game, Dominican scored on a corner kick when the ball deflected off an Oregon Tech player. That own goal came back to haunt Oregon Tech as the Owls lost by one goal 2-1. Tech falls to 3-1 on the season with Dominican improving to 2-2 with the win.

Oregon Tech's Ian Van der Zwan (So. Central Point, Ore.) tied the game at 1-1, as he scored from 22 yards out in the 25th minute. The game stayed tied at one until the 72nd minute when the Penguins got the game winning goal from Shaine Huiberts (Jr. San Juan Capistano, Calif.).

Oregon Tech had more shots in the game with an 11-10 advantage and doubled the Penguins in shots on goal 6-3.

Four yellow cards were handed out, two to each team. One red card was also issued to Dominican in the game which featured 25 fouls, 16 of those whistled on the home team.

Oregon Tech (3-1) returns home this Saturday evening, September 12, opening up Cascade Conference play under the lights against Warner Pacific (1-2) at 7:00 pm at Steen Sports Parks Trevor Derrah Field.
