KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Southern Oregon will face St. Ambrose (Iowa) and Eastern Oregon will meet Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) in the first round of next week’s NAIA Division II women’s basketball national championship tournament, the national office announced Wednesday.

Southern Oregon (29-4), which earned an automatic bid to the national tournament by winning the Cascade Collegiate Conference postseason tournament this past Monday night, plays its opening round game Wednesday, March 12 at 7:45 p.m. PT. St. Ambrose, 28-5 overall, is the Midwest Conference champion. Eastern Oregon (24-5), which earned its automatic bid as the CCC’s regular season co-champion, takes on Cardinal Stritch Thursday, March 13 at 7:15 p.m. PT. Cardinal Stritch (26-4) is the Chicagoland Conference champion.

All four teams were ranked in the final Top 25 poll of the season: Cardinal Stritch (No. 8), St. Ambrose (No. 15), Southern Oregon (No. 18) and Eastern Oregon (No. 24).
