NU's Rachel Travis Named CCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

PORTLAND, Ore. – Northwest University’s Rachel Travis has been named Cascade Conference Player of the Week in women’s basketball, the league office announced Monday.
Travis, a 5-5 junior guard from North Bend, Wash., helped NU to a split of its CCC games last weekend, averaging 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists. She had 28 points, including seven 3- pointers, to key a 21-point comeback win over College of Idaho on Saturday. In the two games, Travis shot 50 percent (13 of 26) from the field, including 10 of 16 (.625) from beyond the arc. She was 5 for 5 from the free throw line.
