Derek Miller of Northwest Named CCC Player of the Week

PORTLAND, Ore. – Northwest University’s Derek Miller has been named Cascade Conference Player of the Week in men’s basketball, the league office announced Monday.
Miller was devastating from long-range in two weekend games, sinking 13 of 23 3-point field goal attempts as the Eagles defeated College of Idaho and fell to Eastern Oregon. Against C of I, the 6-2 junior guard from Cheney, Wash., hit 8 of 12 3-point attempts on his way to a 27-point outing in a 94-80 victory. In an 86-80 loss to EOU, Miller had 21 points, six rebounds and three steals. He hit 5 of 11 field goal attempts from beyond the arc
